This exclusive villa named Casa da Figueira, is located in Praia da Luz in the Western Algarve, Portugal. It has an Estabelecimento de Alojamento Local license and is available as a private
vacation rental year-round. The 3-bedroom villa with a gorgeous private
heated pool is enclosed by spacious tropical gardens and a private fruit garden. Housekeeping services during weekdays are included in the rental price.
 Casa Figueira is only a five minute easy walk from a beautiful large sandy beach, a lovely village, excellent restaurants, and several cliffs with nature trails for hiking or biking. Casa da Figueira is also located within an hour drive of 15 Algarve wineries and over 25 fabulous golf courses, with the Boavista golf course only 5 min away.
Casa da Figueira is the perfect vacation resort for a relaxing holiday. A fantastic location for a private honeymoon, to bring a couple friends, or for a family get together. Casa da Figueira has 3000 square feet (300m2) indoor space on a 0.6 acres property. There is plenty of room for children to play and adults to relax and enjoy the pool, barbecue, garden and orangerie. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms the house can accommodate up to eight adults. If you bring a baby or an extra child, we can add an extra crib or small bed for free. 
The villa has nicely decorated living and dining rooms, a newly remodeled and fully equipped kitchen, free wireless internet and local phone calls, satellite TV (>100 channels), air-conditioning and heating units in the dining room, living room and all bedrooms, a fireplace, two covered terraces and one additional patio that provide shade and excellent locations for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Two French doors open from the dining and living room to the covered terrace and walled-in private pool area which is only for you, your family or friends to enjoy. The pool is 1m deep on the shallow end and 2m20cm on the deep end. It is over 10 meters long and 5.6 meters wide. The pool can be heated, and this might be needed in spring and fall. In the hot summer months the pool stays warm from the sunshine alone. Lazy pool chairs are available for your enjoyment.
 The front door opens to a covered terrace with a cozy build-in table and chairs, our favorite place to enjoy a sunny breakfast. The terrace borders a large private courtyard where your children can play all kinds of ball sports or hide and seek.
A winding pathway enters a lush enclosed tropical garden (double click to watch YouTube video of the gardens and villa) with a variety of trees and flowers. The fig tree, with delicious fruit in late July and August, which gave the house its name: Casa Figueira, stands in the middle of the large yard surrounded by palm trees and an olive tree. The yard is completely surrounded by a tall beautiful white wall with gates that can be locked. This makes it an ideal location to bring little children who'll have plenty of secure room to play. 
The kitchen door opens to a smaller courtyard with a small build-in open fire barbecue pit. Charcoal can be bought in the local Baptista grocery store. Behind the courtyard is the Orangerie with lemon, orange, clementine, and pear trees. The guests are welcome to enjoy the fruit when it is ripe. In addition we planted a small herb garden with a wide variety of herbs that the clients are also welcome to use when cooking.
 From the front courtyard a 70 meters private walkway brings the guests to a very quite cobblestone road. Walk this secure Parque da Praia narrow road for 200 meters (just a couple minutes) and you’ll arrive at the lovely large sandy beach. Ofcourse, if you plan a trip by car can always exit the Casa da Figueira's property via the garage, the 70 meter walkway is not our only entrance.
Casa Figueira will be only yours for the week: you will be the only tourists there when you rent it, no-one else is allowed on the secure property except with your permission. We do want to keep the property in exceptional condition year-round. The pool is cleaned once/week, the yard is taken care of once/week.
On weekdays Amelia, our amazing housekeeper of 15 years, provides exceptional daily housekeeping services. In a friendly and completely non-intrusive way, she keeps Casa da Figueira spotless. Towels are changed twice/week and linen once a week. Amelia makes you feel welcome and immediately at home. Amelia speaks English and will be able to provide assistance if needed. A tip at the end of your stay is not required but very much appreciated. Thank you!
